Everyone live, moving, on the same picture. Someone marks a contact and it is on every screen before they have finished saying it. The kind of shared map people know from a game, except it is real, it runs on the phones already in their pockets, and it needs no internet, no mobile data and no router.
The phones make the network themselves.
Most shared-map tools need a server, a SIM, or a router in the middle. OpenARC does not. Each device is a node, the nodes find each other directly, and the picture holds together on its own while people move, drop out and come back.
No router. No signal. No cloud.
The phones form the network directly between themselves. There is nothing to deploy, nothing to pay for, and no piece of infrastructure whose failure takes the picture down.
Only what changed goes on the wire
The map is not restated every few seconds. An object is sent when it is created or edited, so traffic stays close to a heartbeat. Adding people does not flood the net.
Turn up late, get the whole picture
A device joining mid-task receives everything the team already has in one catch-up burst, then only the changes after it.
It repairs itself
Radio drops packets. A periodic resync puts back anything that went missing, so nobody is left quietly working from a map that stopped being true.
Removals actually remove
Deleting something deletes it everywhere, explicitly, rather than leaving it on other screens until a timer forgets it. What a teammate shared is cleared when they leave.
Honest position precision
Positions cross the network at about 0.11 m: finer than civilian GPS, and deliberately no finer. The wire never implies an accuracy the fix never had.

Every person on the team, where they are, moving as they move. No radio check, no roll call, no wondering who is round the back of the building.
Mark it once. It is on every screen.
An incident, a hazard, a cordon. One person drops it on the map and the whole team has it at the same moment, without anybody describing a grid reference over the radio.
Message the team with no signal
Text the people around you across the same network the map runs on. It does not stop working the moment coverage does, because it never needed coverage.
Nothing to deploy. Nothing to buy.
No server, no router, no SIM, no subscription. Open the app on the phones your people are already carrying and the network is there.
It also puts anything nearby broadcasting Remote ID on the same map. That is a bonus rather than the point. The wider spectrum sensing is FORSYTE, below.
A shared picture is normally a procurement programme.
Knowing where your people are and putting a common picture in front of all of them is not a new idea. It is what command and control systems do, and organisations pay for it as a system: servers, terminals, network engineering, integration work and a support contract. It arrives in years, and it costs what those things cost.
OpenARC does the core of that for a team, on hardware they already own, for nothing. Not because we have found a cheaper way to sell you a system, but because there is no system to sell. The phones are the network.
