Privacy Policy

How FORSYTE handles your data - across both the FORSYTE Android app and this website.

Publisher: Cypher Tech Solutions Ltd. Version: 2026-06-28. Effective date: 2026-06-28. This version describes our cookieless website analytics and the Field Notes newsletter; see also the Cookie Notice.

1. Who we are and what this covers

Cypher Tech Solutions Ltd (UK company number 16345402), registered at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, is the data controller. This policy covers two things: the FORSYTE Android app, and this website (forsyte.app). Website cookies and browser storage are described in more detail in the Cookie Notice.

2. The app: on-device processing

FORSYTE processes all RF data on-device. Your scan data, detection logs and signal history stay on your device and are not transmitted to our servers. We do not collect your detections or your location from the app.

3. The app: crash reporting and usage analytics

The app may send anonymous crash reports and basic usage analytics through standard Google Play services, which you can control in your device settings. No RF scan data or detection results are included. This is separate from the website analytics described in section 5.

4. Licence activation

FORSYTE Lite and Plus licences are purchased on this website via Stripe checkout; your licence key is emailed to you and activated in the app. When you activate a paid licence, a device identifier is used to bind the licence to your device. This identifier is stored securely to manage your licence and is not shared with third parties or used for advertising.

5. Website analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics for privacy-focused, cookieless aggregate website analytics. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies and provides aggregated statistics such as page views, referrers, and country / device / browser information. It does not identify you, and no analytics consent banner is shown.

We may also record limited first-party website events in our own database (Supabase) to understand licence interest, checkout status, quote submissions and Field Notes engagement. These events are minimal and anonymous - for example which plan was clicked, whether a checkout completed, failed or was cancelled, the page, and any campaign (UTM) parameters. No cookies or browser storage are used for this.

We do not use analytics to collect licence keys, payment card details, SDR data, signal detections, or operational / security data. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, cross-site tracking, browser fingerprinting or session replay. Payment processing is handled by Stripe (see section 7).

6. Newsletter (Field Notes)

If you subscribe to Field Notes, we collect your email address to send you the emails you asked for (release notes, field tests and technical write-ups). Our lawful basis is your consent, and we use a double opt-in - we only start sending after you confirm via the link in our confirmation email.

As proof of consent we also store the time you subscribed, a coarse (anonymised) IP address and your browser's user agent. Email delivery is handled by our processor Resend (resend.com); subscriber records are held in our own database (Supabase).

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the footer of every email (or the List-Unsubscribe control in your mail client); this withdraws your consent and stops all further emails. We do not sell or share your email address, and we do not use it for advertising.

7. Payments

Licence and kit payments are processed by Stripe (card payments on this website) and, for the free app, by Google Play. Your card details are handled by those providers under their own privacy policies; we do not receive or store full card numbers.

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you; to request its correction or deletion; to object to or restrict processing; to withdraw any consent you have given (for example, your newsletter subscription) at any time; and to data portability where applicable. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
